I was watching tonights game and seems like some of the players have been at Kansas for several years, so I went and looked at the roster and was wondering who would stick around next year and what their roster would look like.

People I think will go Pro:
Brandon Rush
Darrell Arthur
Darnell Jackson (Sr.)

Gradumacation:
Russell Robinson
Sasha Kaun

Returning Starters/Role Players:
Sherron Collins
Mario Chalmers

Past that the only person I've seen play productive minutes is the freshman Aldrich. The rest of their team is foreign to me and I'm not up to date on their recruiting/young players. But if Rush/Arthur go pro they are going to lose a ton of production. And if James and DJ stay for another year, who would be able to compete against us in the Big 12.

Morris twins, Releford, and Quintrell Thomas give them a lot of hope for the future. They have also added two pretty good juco players to help them in the event they lose as many as 7 players. They will not be an easy opponent in February.

Point taken but I think I would still take
PG - DJ, Balbay
SG - Abrams, Brown
SF - Mason
PF - James, Johnson, Wangmene
C - Atchley, Chapman, Pittman, (Hill?)

Over
Collins, Chalmer, 4 froshmen and 2 JC transfers

Uhh, no kidding. If all of their good players leave and all of ours stay, and we're better to begin with, we'll probably still be better next year.

I think part of it is because all of their good players stayed last year. That is why they were a favorite pick to win it all this year. I thought at least a couple of them would go last year.

Being realistic, Arthur is most likely gone but Rush isn't considered a first round NBA pick as of now. If he blows up in March, maybe he'll leave, but he could well be back and if so he's a conference POY candidate for sure.

Aldrich has big time potential but as a freshman he hasn't been able to take minutes from Arthur and Jackson (or even Kaun). Kansas will be a legit Top 15 team next season.

As for Augustin coming back, that's another topic but I'm not counting on seeing him as a junior. We should have James back, I would guess.
