The final 16 seconds of the Kansas-Davidson game will be replayed tonight in Charlotte, because one of the KU players on the floor had already fouled out of the game.
First off I didn't fall for it, but since something very bizarre and similar happened a couple weeks ago with the Hawks and Heat having to replay the final minute of a game, I don't see any shame in at least questioning it.
I'll admit: I fell for it, hook, line and sinker -- even though that, in the intro, Tony and Mike were explicitly talking about it being April Fool's day. Still, they were very believable in their arguing, and the subject was not completely out of the ordinary.
I think the only thing that seemed "odd" about the scenario they set out was that the game would be played in Charlotte -- a more plausible setting would have been Louisville or Nashville, centrally located for both schools.
Nevertheless, kudos to Kornheiser and Wilbon -- they did a great job.
