Kansas at Home on Monday

Primetime National TV Coverage with plenty of commercial airtime already, we have a chance to do something really special. Everyone thought beating UCLA on the road was impossible, and now we get a team just as good in our house. Let's Go Horns

if augustine decides to feed the post rahter than dribble around inteh back court for 34 seconds befroe he forces up a contested shot, then we have a reallyi good shot. im starting to get really sick of augsutines gaurd paly.

Yeah....really looking forward to this game. Texas will have to play as they did at UCLA if not better to win this game. But, after last year's two losses to them after being out huge early a win would be very sweet and put them in great position for the conf. tourney.

would cement a 3 seed for us.

a win over aggy and no more home losses might even get us a 2.

I know, I know, one game at a time and we suck on offense right now, but this is a message board and I like to look at the possibilities.

Question: would you rather Kansas beat Baylor tonight or not?

The Jayhawks need to take some losses for us to catch them in the conference race, so it's logical to root against them. On the other hand, from the perspective of ranking and eventual NCAA seed, it would be better for us to play the highest-ranked KU team possible on Monday night.

I'm actually almost hoping they win tonight, because I don't see us catching them in the Big XII, regardless of what happens against Baylor. I hate thinking that way.

As much as I want some help from the conference, I don't want it now. I don't want KU to lose tonight to the Bearz and come in Mon. angry and trying to bounce back against UT....

GOO and the Horn fans need to be the 6th man (is that aggyish?) and have the Horns House rockin" Monday night.

I am rooting for Kansas tonight entirely.

If lightening strikes and we win Monday, we need KU on as much of a national roll as possible.

I'd want Kansas to shoot threes. They are athletic, but don't shoot jumpers that well and that will be their downfall in the ncaa's, unless they get streaky.

Baylor is a solid tourney team. I really like watching those guys play. I have to believe that someone dangles a shitpot of cash in front of Drew and he bolts after this season.

watching Kansas play Baylor... I don't see how we can match up with them. Not based on our recent play at least. Baylor is staying with em by shooting hot from 3's... but we couldn't possibly play a game this pace.

Baylor's defense is horrible. Kansas may shoot well against us in a zone (as everyone else does), but that will be because of short guards.

As Baylor has shown with Mulkey and Briles, they're not afraid to throw big money at a head coach. Mulkey is making over $1 million a year. Baylor won't have any problem getting that and more for Drew. He's got many, many high dollar alumni supporters...like the ones that got the practice facility built.

I think we have a good chance for the upset. Early in the season (UCLA game) our O was white hot but our D was giving up an *** load of points. Now D is winning games and keeping keeping it close when our offense looks like a Gregory gym pick up game. If we can get hyped up and put the two together we have a really good chance to win solidly. Especially since Abrams is getting on fire and James is sniffing out more boards than previously and we now have some solid bench play (which we didn't against UCLA).

All in all - like our chances on the 40 to rock the jayhawk

We (Baylor) have no inside game and that hurt us against Arthur and the other KU big men......and to think Darrell Arthur was all but set to be a Baylor Bear until the night before he was scheduled to announce his decision to be a Bear he had a "dream" that KU was where he was supposed to go. His AAU coach now drives a pretty fancy Escalade.

I think you guys can beat KU but you are going to have to play a perfect game. They run, run, run and as it was stated on the telecast last night, the essentially have 7 starters....so they don't have a drop off when they sub.

I'll be rooting for the Horns in what should be a GREAT game.
