I think Mason has to step up and hit open shots when he's not guarded. We can't afford to have both he and Balbay in there, and neither posing any offensive threat. The defense just collapses on everyone else, and our offense grinds to a halt.
Balbay actually took a few jump shots tonight, too, and hit one or two. If those two can continue to step it up just a little offensively, maybe we can get this thing back on track.
We don't need them to score in double digits every night, but when they're wide open from 10-15 ft., they need to take that shot and make some of them, or they are a liability.
Both of them need to continue to keep driving to the basket. I was very impressed with Mason and Dogus last night. I hope Mason keeps his confidence up and continues to shoot. We need him to get going, and now would be a perfect time.
