Well, actually, I was attempting to determine if you know anything about bounties.

I'm no expert on bounties, or bounty hunters (unless watching Dog makes one an "expert"). But, I believe that in most states, legal bounty hunting is allowed by obtaining a bounty license, obtaining a copy of the bail contract, and a legal and non-lethal way of detaining the "bounty".

In the instance of the Back Pather bounty, I don't believe that it was done in a legal manner, and it possibly was an infringement of civil rights and due process of the law. But, the NBP doesn't seem to have minded about applying proper legal channels to locate Zimmerman. Chanting "no justice, no peace" and suggesting bloodshed in nuanced ways does not make for a legal bounty procedure.

Please share your opinion on the bounty, as well as your opinion on why Zimmerman is currently not employed. I'd like to know where you stand on the issue, not just your conjecture and ad hominem commentary on Zimmerman's website (if it is indeed his own site).

There's plenty of groups in the deep south that will help with his legal costs. Probably a few in Montana and Idaho also.

dalhorn, I meant it was pathetic because it implies that Zimmerman will be helped by his own kind - other racists.

Unless Zimmerman has been planning this murder his whole life, and has only helped and supported black causes as a cover, knowing he would need it after killing a random black man for no reason, he is nothing close to a racist.

I have no idea if Zimmerman is a racist, or not, but I'm not sure he would qualify everyone that donates to his legal defense fund and refuse those that are from groups with an racist agenda.

This is a very partisan issue and as the polls indicate, a racially divisive issue. The filing of charges will probably draw out more extremists on both sides. Just look at the O.J Simpson case. Of course that probably would have been worse if O.J. were really black.

If the authorities in that town do not charge the "New Black Panther" jerks with Making a Terroristic Threat then there is no justice in this country. Then again, Eric Holder is in charge of the Justice Department. What a cluster!

I think Zimmerman has done a lot to refute the "racist" allegation. I'm thinking the sort of folks who would give him money are the ones who think it's a great idea to arm everybody and encourage them to shoot folks whenever they feel threatened or see them committing a burglary in their neighborhood. That's a much larger group that has several adherents on the West Mall.
