Just don't have the offensive firepower this year

With our pitching we should be easily leading the conference if our offense was on par with previous years. Just don't have enough firepower in the lineup this year to win a championship. Hope they prove me wrong.

I hate to agree here but unless these young man turn it up i have to agree...The pitching coming up is only going to get better.

I agree... I've been to a lot of the games this season and I have frequently been surprised at how much we watch good pitches go by. Way too many times certain players go up there and basically don't even get their bat off their shoulder. I don't understand that. They should be looking to get a hit, not get a walk. I understand that there are situations where maybe the other team's pitcher is having a hard time finding the strike zone, and you might want to lay off and make him prove that he can through strikes, but when someone comes up with runners on and they're not even aggressive enough to get the damn bat off their shoulder, maybe they need to watch a game or two from the bench.

We have seen top notch batters for many years that are aggresive and able to hit at will. I don't know whether we don't have the batting abilities or we just don't have the confidence.

Man...I had so much hope for this version of the team as compared to the last 3.

I think we need to at least get to a Super or we need to seriously "evaluate" our program. 4 years without is getting to become an ugly drought.

Maybe they can kick it in gear, because it would be a shame to keep wasting these good pitching performances.

We were hitting the crap out of the ball for about 17 or 18 straight games. Don't let one week cloud your judgement. And it's not fair to judge our team based on their performance against KSU, as KSU completely owns UT athletics.
