...does anyone know if Aubry was ailing from anything on Sunday? I notice she didn't get any minutes. Just wondered if anyone knows anything or has any thoughts about it. I know she has a tendency to commit crazy fouls, but, i like her a lot this year. She's another player that has had drastic improvements.
 
Downstairs after the game, Gail said it was not an injury issue, just that they all know that there may be games that they don't get in. She also said something to the effect that it was not intended to be a reflection on anything, just that the minutes didn't happen.
 
Based on comments I heard on the radio after the Mississippi game, and what I heard in the Lone Star room last weekend, I have the impression that this is an issue of earning PT in practice. On the radio there was a reference to her having struggled in practice, but stepping up in the game when needed. After the Tennessee game there was an acknowledgement of her having not played, but practicing hard and always being ready when her number was called.

I think she has a disadvantage in that she is probably the slowest of the post players on a team that likes a fast pace. Against some teams that can create a matchup problem. But, my guess - and only a guess, would be that the issue is about defense, consistency, and intensity.

For my part I like to watch her play, and take that smooth, soft shot facing the basket. But, I have always thought she had the ability to be better than she has shown….so far. I'm hoping that coach G is pushing her to really reach her full potential.
 
I think that she should have gotten in during the atleast the last minute of the game. I just don't think that it's fair that everyone got to play but her. Even if her not practicing hard was the reason, the fact remains that she still practiced just like everyone else and the game was out of reach anyways!
 
And, she didn't play again...in a blow-out (at least she wasn't in the box score)!! Could her practice sessions be THAT bad?? I'm just curious as to what's going on with her.
 
i'm really surprised she's not playing...but i have not a clue as to the reason. i've always enjoyed watching aubry play. i think she adds a nice high/low element to the post game. her shots from around the free throw line are usually money. her shooting % is definitely down this season, but it still seems odd that she hasn't gotten any minutes lately
 
If I heard correctly And if I rightly recall, Aubrey has a minor knee problem, hyperextension (I think). She is being held out in hopes that she will be ready for conference play.

Please do not accept this as fact as I may have not heard all of what I thought I heard. Call it a rumor if you wish.
