Davis (DE) received a lot of love over on OB his sophomore season and camped at Texas this summer. So I went out and saw JT vs Lufkin last night to see him play.
Honestly it was a bit of a mix. There were times when he was dominant, making tackles in the backfield and blowing by the OT for a sack. But I also watched him get driven into the secondary on a sweep to his side. He doesn't seem very quick off the ball to my untrained eye.
His coaches also seemed a bit upset with him on the sidelines. For what its worth, he was standing by himself waving into the crowd for a few minutes.
Overall, a pretty raw talent.
