Jungmann In, Workman Out ...

Not sure I like. I think the freshmen have shown great ability to come in and back up the starters. Though Brandon has not looked great in a few starts, I don't think he is pitching like he would lose the game in the first three innings itself. Why mess with what is working, espeically when we have yet another solid reliever in Stayton with us. And what happens if Jungman has a rocky start or two and loses confidence? - after all he is just a true freshman.

I wouldn't have tinkered with what was working all year, even if some minor cracks have shown up in the last few games. But Skip and Augie are is so much closer to the situation and knows so so much more baseball than I do; so I respect their judgment. Hope it all turns out well.

I think I read where Workman's ERA over his last eight starts is above 6.00. This is something that had to be done, IMO.

It's about time. I don't think I've ever seen a team whose pitcher with the lowest ERA was not a starter or closer. Go get em Taylor.

augie and staff have been looking at this move for the last two weeks. skip has talked bout brandon's release point being off and how his 2 strike pitching not being where it was early in the season. lets hope this move pays off. we have to win 5 of these last 6 conf games.
