Rangers are getting pasted again today in Oakland and are about to fall to 2-5 on their west coast trip and and 2-7 in their last nine games. Those nine games have included multiple blow out losses and seen Holland head to the DL joining Feliz. The lead is down to 4 games over the Angels and the trajectory right now is in a very bad direction. Oswalt cant arrive soon enough.

On top of all that, they've been losing and getting blown out by two of the worst offensive teams in baseball, including an Oakland team that had lost five straight series and had not won a series since taking 2 of 3 from Tampa Bay in early May.

This a trend that has been developing over the last month or two (21-23 since April 21--last day of big win streak) and is still going downward. There's still a lot left of the season, but I'm starting to really get concerned.

Well, the hits keep on coming as Ogando heads to the DL to join Feliz and Holland: Link.

Still a long way to go, but Texas has played at or below .500 ball against inferior teams since the end of the April win streak and the Angels have closed the gap to 2.5 games (while their ace has been sidelined on the DL). I figured the race would be tight, but I didn't count on the Rangers having to run it while on crutches.
