We are going to Jost Van Dyke, in the BVI, next June. Have made reservations at the White Bay Villas and have studied up on bars/restaurants, side trips to other BVIs, etc., but have lingering concerns about transportation arrangements.
I'm wondering if anyone on here has made this trip and can provide advice on making connections between airline travel to U. S. VI or Puerto Rico in order to catch ferry to Tortola and then to Jost Van Dyke or directly to Jost. I understand a "puddle jumper" from Puerto Rico to Tortola and then ferry to Jost is another possibility.
From looking at airline schedules from U.S. mainland to USVI it could be dicey trying to get from airport to ferry dock to catch the last one of the day on a Saturday. Is it best to go a full day early and spend one night at USVI just to be sure you have time to catch the ferry the next day?
Thanks for any advice you experienced world travelers can give me.
