Josh Marshall Out Indefinitely

Ouch. Hope for a speedy recovery. When I read that bit on Akina yelling at a couple of the DB's b/c they stopped before the whistle and didn't lay Shipley out I thought of something like this happening. More physicial defense should lead to some injuries.

Would Philip Payne or DJ Grant have the body type to play as a pass-catching tight end? They would obviously have to put on some weight, but I doubt that would be a problem with Mad Dog helping out.

I did not see any more detail at the link than "fractured shoulder." The typical "shoulder fracture" is a broken humeral head in an older person, not likely what happened here. There are some other possibilities, but I would not be surprised if this is a distal clavicle fracture: kind of like a shoulder separation that happens by breaking bone instead of tearing ligaments. While the average fracture heals to functional strength in about 6 weeks in the average adult, some broken clavicles heal slowly or not at all (without surgery). Summing up, I don't know what he broke, but I would not be too surprised to see this knock him out for the season. Best wishes and prayers.
