Last night after a 4+ hr game in the 10th with R Vasquez up Josh Lewin made the call for the bomb and delivered. ******* allsome. Josh Lewin and TAG are greatness even when the Rangers suck which is generally more often than not.

Finally, I have been singing the priases of R Vasquez for weeks now and it's good to see such a smart person such as myself get the credit and recognition I deserve.
 
I'm on record as saying I actually ordered a Vazquez t-shirt jersey before the season started. I damn near wore it as my undershirt today...
 
Tee-hee to Uncle Rico. Your other thread starts off with the greatness of David Murphy and he was benched last night due to his slump.

Blalock absolutely should start over Vazquez when he gets back. Blalock has a track record and he was hitting well before he got hurt. Vazquez has a career .672 OPS and even in his best year will not do near what Blalock can. That, and he's not a very good third baseman defensively. Solid shortstop though.

The worst thing the Rangers could do right now is give Vazquez an everyday job when he doesn't need to be there. He can continue to be a solid utilityman if they pick his spots and use him the right way. He's not an everyday guy. He's just hot right now.
 
I agree that you have to give the nod back to Blalock but just want to point out that the Rangers should learn their lesson about getting rid of DeRosa and hold on to this guy.

Guys who can play 3 IF positions well and hit lefty don't grow on trees.
