Josh Hamilton

One of the most impressive shows I have ever seen.

39 career HRs, 28 in the 1st round of the derby. He will walk into the finals, but will he have enough in the tank.

unless morneau hits 15 more HR's with 2 outs left...Hamilton is in the finals...without having to take a swing in the 2nd round...

This is a shot across the bow for the rest of the MLB: The Rangers are about to be real good for a while, and this son of a ***** is leading the charge.

Just incredible.

Damn straight he'll stay a Ranger. He's under contract (at nearly league minimum) for another 4 years. He and the team are already in discussions about a long-term extension.

Amazing story, I don't think any baseball fan can say they honestly don't root for him. For us Rangers fan it is such a pleasure to watch him day after day.

if only this team had pitching!!

seriously though, watching film of josh, milton, ian, michael (and i think hurley) slip-n-sliding at shea stadium was one of my favorite baseball moments, and it didn't even happen in a game. these guys are awesome, and josh just puts out good vibes for everyone. i hope to God he keeps it up and wins the mvp, and more importantly that he's a ranger for life

Given the game's remarkable history, it seems pretty idiotic to say that a stupid home run derby was one of the greatest things I've ever seen, but when you consider Hamilton's story, and you consider that he's hitting off a 71-year-old small-town baseball lifer to thank him for his years and years of service to his community, well... THAT WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS I'VE EVER SEEN.

What i think is most unbelievable, was not only the 28 jacks but how far each of them went. It is not like they were just skiming the outfield wall. they were soaring out of there. very impressive.

I <3 Josh Hamilton. He's an inspiration to everyone who thinks they cannot slay their personal dragons.
