Josh Brolin as Dubya

I can't think of another movie I would want to see less than this. And I'm pretty sure I'd feel this way regardless of my political beliefs.

I think this is going to be great.
Just watching the Republican's squirm and their head explosions when this comes out a month before the election will be worth it.

Should re-title it though.....

"Moron" is about right.
 
Man. They don't even let the bodies turn cold anymore. Pretty soon, movies will be put out to coincide with major events.

"You lived through a terrorist attack this morning, come watch the debut tonight of a powerful new film about that attack."
 
Remember when Oliver Stone used to be good? Now's he's simply a gimmick, wrapped up in a publicity stunt.

The saddest part is that like a freaking MIchael Moore propaganda piece there is a substantial portion of our socitey that will take this seriously.
 
To show the suck that OS is now all you have to say is Alexander. What a colossal waste of time that was.

This movie isn't going to be watched by a lot of people and I seriously doubt it will have much effect on the election. People are pretty turned off when Hollywood goes political. Furthermore, historians have already disputed a lot of what is in the movie, so it is basically a fictional movie.
 
Seriously, I can't imagine anyone wanting to shell out the money to go see this.

Conservatives will obviously stay away, and everyone else is probably so sick of GWB and ready to move on that they won't bother either. The last thing they want to do is re-live the past 8 years.

... not to mention the fact that Oliver Stone is no longer seen as a good filmmaker, and IMO lost credibility a long time ago.
 
I actually really like Oliver Stone films. The dude made Wall Street, Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July. Anyone who can't appreciate those films should just stick to watching American Idol.
 
Naked Bongo you are missing the point. Check the release dates on the movies you named. Oliver Stone is basically Barry Zito.

Remember Brolin's father made a hatchet job movie about Reagan that was ridiculed and panned for being a propaganda piece? Won't this be the same?

Who would be the market for this movie -

Republicans wont see ti becasue they will assume it's a slanted hatchet job.

Independents wont see it because they know it will be horrible.

Democrats won't see it because the fact that it was made is what they will be happy about, but they probably wont want to see it.

???
 
So they haven't even started shooting the movie yet and don't have a finished script, but they want to release it in October? Yeah, good luck with that.
 
Good lord! i second the motion in regards to the Diane Lane hijacking of this thread! Wow!

I always thought Josh Brolin would be cast perfectly for a Rick Perry bio-pic. But no one is clamoring for that movie.
