I hope they have a good time and that no trouble finds them. Cancun is supposed to be pretty safe, right? Hope it stays that way if they go there. We all need a vacation now and then. NCAA players don't get a lot of time nor have the resources to do so very often so good for them they can and are.

Personally, I look at stuff like this and I think there's a lot that we as fans can learn from the kids who play the game. Sometimes we take all this way too seriously.

Remember Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford or Ricky Williams and Dat Nguyen, and I think what you see are respectful friendships formed between great kids and student athletes... who just happen to be arch rivals on the field against each other one Saturday out of the year.

I think it's very cool indeed that the quarterbacks for Texas A&M and Alabama are pals off the field.

You nailed it. UT football is a passion of mine to the point where I probably need counseling, but this is a game and never have understood the hatred of rivals off the field.
Theses are good young men, not terrorists for heavens sake.
