Sorry Joe but that was just too easy not to take. For an aggy I actually liked Acie, wish he could have been a Horn. Didn't Watkins (I thought he would do good things for aggy) recruit him? It's actually a shame that's what he will be remembered for, missing an easy lay-up that would have beat I believe Memphis while advancing aggy.

He and Durant were good friends and competitors. They were fun to watch.

Acie was a Watkins recruit and acie and billy Clyde were match made in heaven. Acie was able to translate Billy's hardass ways to where they were acceptable to the players. Billy needed an acie at both Kentucky and tech.

And yeah I think it was against Memphis. I just remember driving to San Antonio for that game and not having the heart to stay after and watch ohio state play in the second game that evening.
