Blake brought in the talent for OU to win a MNC and seems to be doing pretty good with Butch Davis at North Carolina. They got a 5star DE and a solid group ranked in the top 10 by most. I guess he missed the memo on not recruiting Texas from Butch Davis since he did sign a kid out of Brenham.

Blake no question has an eye for talent. As far as Butch Davis recruiting Texas, I think something he said anecdotally was taken as a generalization. In context, he was saying that you have to judge a kid on potential and part of that is taking into account what advantage he had in high school. Basically a kid who has had terrific coaching, facilities and nutrition has fufilled a bigger percentage of his potential than a kid that hasn't.
