The epitome of damned if you do, damned if you don't. The only real difference is that Biden is more honest, he just says whatever BS is on his mind. BO stares at the teleprompter and then lies to all our faces.

As a conservative, I have to say that I find Biden's lack of awareness and message control somewhat charming. All of us, conservatives and liberals, complain about sound-bites and talking points all the time, but then when someone strays too far from those things, we bust their balls because they're "unmitigated idiots".

To me, Biden's loose language makes him all the more human and something of a sympathetic character.

I say give me a Biden or a Palin any day over a Reid or a Perry. An authentic fool beats a angling sociopath any day of the week.

i do find it interesting how LITTLE we hear about Biden's gaffes. when Quayle said dumb stuff it seemed to make national news. i wasn't even as tuned in back then and i remember hearing Quayle quotes that weren't NEAR as bad as these constantly. i remember him telling a person to add an "e" to "potatos" when spelling. of course, "potatoes" is a legitimate spelling right? of course it has been a long time, so i may be confusing the details of that entire exchange.

I have a serious question about Biden. What was the rational behind him being Obama's pick? BO made pretty savvy political choices and I know there is something that Biden adds (or was thought would add). What is it?
