Jobs on Craiglist. Fraud?

A cousin of mine has been looking for a part-time job and found this Mystery Shopper position on Craiglist. I saw him filling up an application form sent to him from the job poster. I noticed that the application was sent to him from a yahoo account and it's asking for his birthday and such. It didn't ask for SSN or anything I'd consider absolutely confidential. The guy desperately needs a job but I also don't him to become a victim of a potential fraud. Can you guys share your advice or experience regarding job postings on Craiglist?

first off, don't be a mystery shopper. it is NOT what they advertise. i thought that might be cool, but i read up on it first and found the entire thing is pretty much a sham.

if you can't find any credible information on the company on the internet, then don't apply.

my two cents for your cousin.

Not the grammar police or anything, just FYI - "Irregardless is a term meaning in spite of or anyway, that has caused controversy since it first appeared in the early twentieth century. It is generally listed in dictionaries as "incorrect" or "nonstandard"

Irrespective of my vocabulary usage, watch out for fraud.

There are many real jobs posted on Craigs List, but the spam, scam and fake ads out number the real ones.
