Jimbo Fisher annoys me.....

I have never liked him. Since his days at Florida State. He seems to embody all the negative attributes of the phony collegiate football coach. I still cannot believe how pathetic it is that Texas A&M left the B12. Absolutely no reasonable excuses for going to the SEC.

Oh they had a reason. They were in the shadow of UT and OU in the South and saw no way out of it. This year was an aberration. Auburn and LSU are down. Soon Aggie will go back to fourth in the SEC south and lose 3-4 per year.

Just seems like they’re now going to be in the shadow of teams in the SEC now.

Boomer,

The Aggies were losing $20 million a year. They borrowed $20 million from the school and couldn't pay it back. When they left, they were the only school in the Big XII to take their share of the Colorado & Nebraska exit fees.

As for Fisher, are you sure you aren't from Baton Rouge? As my friend that lives there at The Country Club told me, "that lying chicken **** son of a *****". He is certainly not revered in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Ditto what was said... could not stand the shadow of UT and OU...

Meanwhile an aggy friend of mine was opposed to them leaving Big XII and bemoans getting kicked in the teeth by Bama, LSU, Auburn and a few others every year.

Manziel season and Covid season were sole exceptions since they left.

That’s why my friends, they proudly chant SEC, SEC, SEC- they ride on the coat tails of the Crimson Tide or the other roulette wheel hot team the SEC produces that rotates yearly. LSU, GA, maybe FL or Auburn.
“We are still 3rd tier, but know we are 3rd tier in a conference that produces champions.”
To each their own.

Only an Aggie can find solace in that warped thinking. That is the epitome of the little brother syndrome.

Jimbo has always seemed like a slime ball to me. His handling of the Jameis Winston debacle certainly reinforced that perception.

Worster, their original 2020 schedule only had 2 losses baked in, and with LSU's implosion, they were 11-1 at worse. So they finished where the schedule took them.

Their 2021 schedule:

Is the same type of schedule 1 confirmed loss - Alabama; 1 maybe - LSU; and one could be - Ole Miss. So unless Auburn or Mississippi State can grow a pair 10-2/9-3 at worse.

This is what you get with one of the easier conferences in the country.
