Jerry Sloan

It's very hard to believe that Jerry Sloan, one of the top 2-3 head coaches in the NBA, won't be coaching the Jazz anymore. As a Rocket fan, I have no love lost for anything Utah Jazz...with the single exception of respect for Jerry Sloan. I remember when the Rockets were searching for a coach and, before hiring Rudy Tomjanovic, considered hiring Jerry Sloan. As much as I love Rudy T for the Clutch City days, I'd take that trade...that's the extent of my respect for Sloan. NBA is a little less today because of this news.

I have heard many times what a good person Sloan is. It is sad when a positive era passes, but like a wise man once said, the only constant in life is change.

to Jerry Sloan for all of his help to Rick Barnes and staff. Before anyone thinks that's a slam on Barnes, it isn't. But, damn, what a difference a trip to Utah made!!!

I am no fan of the flop, and Sloan is the king of the flop.
His players are worse than soccer players.
Add in the cheating bastard official time keeper in SLC and their retarded drinking laws, and you have a pretty disgusting situation all around.

He's been the coach at utah for most of my basketball-watching-life. I cant stand the jazz, but I hate to see sloan go. he's a great coach.
