Heard that Burton was on Rivals radio and said that he feels Jeffcoat is close to a lock for Texas, was worried about PT at USC. Anyone else hear anything about that?

I said it on another thread, but the recruiting season is far from over. If the team plays like it should on the field, we should get some elite prospects to look our way down road. Wins, rankings, and media coverage are factors to sway a recruit who's torn between schools.

If true, it's great to hear the recent news about Jeffcoat.

Jeffcoat and his dad must have noticed that Muschamp and Giles have sent several DEs to the NFL. It sure can't hurt our chances with this kid.

180, it's more than that. i mean, more than just sending guys to the nfl. look at orakpo coming out of high school. good looking kid who showed a lot of promise. between what brian himself did and what our staff did he is on target to be special. i'm hoping the same for the predator.

these guys we have can turn promise into performance, and i'm sure the jeffcoat family has noticed. we are certainly not the only program that can do that, but i doubt anyone else is better.

Yeah, glenn, I agree. There's Crowder, Robison, Rak, with Kindle, Jones, Acho, and Okafor in the queue. Look how fast they coached up Melton and got him into the league.

I would love for Jackson to come to UT. Getting talented players is always exciting, but DE is such a vital position, imo.

With Muschamp on board for the long haul I would think that many kids would love to be a part of his def. That along w/ a MNC would lock upsome of those in question. As long as Muschamp is here the def side of the ball should recruit very well. On off my only issue is losing high profile RB.

Now that would really suck. I would love to have him at Texas and would be saddened by another school signing him but OU. That is just not acceptable.

i agree that we shouldn't read anything into one person's comments. jj has been very quiet throughout the process. i doubt anyone really knows what is going on.
