I think you meant any chance he "verbally commits" this weekend, no one can sign until Feb. 2010, but we know what you mean anyway.

I honestly think he is gonna be wait and see commit. He has a lot of offers and his dad is a D-line coach for the U of Houston and his twin sister signed with OU for basketball. It really is hard to say where he goes.

it is very interesting that the entire family is coming. this may be the only weekend during the regular season that jim is available to go with the fam to a game. that is not an insignificant detail. i assume they are free this weekend to see any game and they are coming to ours.

of course, the timing was set by jim's availability, but it is very fortunate. not only is it a major game with us beginning to open up our playbook, both offensively and defensively, but in three weeks we have another very important potential member of what may be shaping up to be a memorable front seven recruiting class coming to visit. i have no idea the state of jackson's recruiting at this moment, but if he is close to making a decision to come here, i'm sure the jeffcoats realize how important it could be for him to be on board when that other young man hits campus.

it might really matter to jackson to play in front of that guy.

Looking at that picture and thinking elbows is just down right un-American- and I won't stand for it. It's analogous to the forearms comments on a recruit said awhile back...

I don't think Jackson Jeffcoat and his family would be spending the weekend here if UT wasn't a serious player for his services.

He won't verbal after his visit this weekend, but the Horns could separate themselves from the competition if he has a good visit and is suitably impressed with the team, coaches, facilities, and city.

I agree with an earlier poster that our primary competition for him is probably USC. I think we can hold our own with anybody in recruiting. That being said, fans at the game Saturday need to show the Jeffcoat family plenty of love, and let him know how welcome he'd be here and how good he'd look in burnt orange.
