Jedovan Clowney??

Now that we have lost Mr. Westermann, I think it is imperative we go after one more outstanding offensive tackle.

I noticed J Marcus Webb on the field, with I think it was the Bears. I remember how we lost him and never really got to get him on the field due to his problems with grades. But from a physical standpoint that guy had the whole package. Hands, lots of wingspan, great feet and footwork so it made me sick when he tranferred out. Then we lose Westermann. OUCH.

So anyway;

The other guy who I think should defintely be offered a 'ship would be this top recruit Jedovan Clowney. This guy is the absolute beast at defensive end. I cannot imagine the pass rush the Horns would have with Jeffcoat at one end and Clowney at the other. Simply Staggaring Performance.

Go watch his videos and tell me what you think.

By the way, I do not think he has committed anywhere at this late time. Lets go get him.

Wrong and wrong. He won't qualify. When the sports guys here in Tennessee (Vols) are stating he's too much of an academic risk I can only assume that Texas won't even sniff that.

I'm thinking he's down to South Carolina or Alabama. Our class is a wrap. I don't think we are in for any suprises come Feb 2nd.

Aside from the fact Jadeveon Clowney is a defensive end a a lock to either South Carolina or Alabama, great idea.

Clowney is probably a better lock for South Carolina and second Alabama. Wold be nice to get the top prospect in the country but this one is staying on the east coast.

what's wrong with having an other talented DE or hybrid LB? we saw what happened last year when okafor had to get moved to DT and Sam Acho played DT at times as well. We need the quality depth.

that being said, it seems like we have no shot with this guy.

You can't just recruit a big time out of state prospect like Clowney this late in the game and expect him to give us a chance. Most kids develop a relationship with their recruiters over a 1-2 year span. Mack is not gonna win him over in 1.5 weeks. Maybe if he was from Texas... that'd be another story.

Mack won't go after an out of state recruit unless they show interest in Texas.

I'm hearing Mack and Giles are in Louisiana (Rasco) today and were in Brenham ( Alexander) yesterday. There may be a surprise after all!
