Great numbers. Catalyst for the team. Definitely deserves huge amounts of recognition. Best offensive second baseman hands down in the majors.

BTW, Uggla on FLA has the highest OPS for second basemen.

I don't think you two know what total bases are. Look it up. It has nothing to do with who is hitting around you.

total bases is not the number of bases you touch. its the number of bases you touch resulting from your hits. if he gets a single, he gets one base, two bases for a double and so on. he does not get additional bases when hamilton comes up and moves him from first to third or hits a home run.

i think we can all agree that he's having a much better year than dustin pedroia, who is the starting 2b for the AL tomorrow. but what can you do, they prefer to vote for their own over the most deserving. nothing new about that.

Pedroia has been on a tear, so I don't have a problem with him starting. He was hitting .260 on June 13 and is at .314 now.

As long as the Rangers keep Kinsler in the mix with his new contract from February, they'll have a good middle infield to build around, and focus more on pitching.
