Anyone catch her performance last night versus Iowa St.?

That's impressive, but ISU has no viable frontcourt, so I'm not sure it was as amazing as they made it out to be on the telecast. Wieben would be playing small forward on any squad who had a decent post player. Watching her try and defend Appel was both sad and amusing.

Even so, Appel is a real force. Would be interesting to see her match-up with Paris. Hopefully, Stanford beats UConn so there's a chance we see it happen. Not likely, but I give 'em a puncher's chance.

Appel's performance was a thing of beauty. Stanford knew exactly how they wanted to attack ISU and did it to perfection.

I had to laugh at Finley's comment at halftime when he said something to the effect of "Appel is not our biggest problem" and then went on to say that he was more upset about giving up a couple of three pointers. Appel had 27 points in the first half...that's a pretty big problem. That sounded like a coach who didn't want to admit that his game plan to have just one defender on Appel wasn't a very wise one.
