jay guy to california

Cal runs a 3-4. Guy is a true NT. He made a great, informed choice. He can focus on plugging the run and controlling the LOS and his pass rushing liabilities won't matter.

Obviously, it's a great school too.

They are having a rant on TexAgs. Lots of talk about losing a recruit to a second rate football school.

I did a summer internship in 1999 in the Bay area for a UT alum there. Absolutely loved the region, except for maybe the cost of housing. I can see how Jay Guy could have a tough time choosing between the Bears and Aggies...

-- Beautiful Bay area vs. College Station
-- California vineyards vs. Blue Bell ice cream
-- Cal female cheerleaders vs. milk men yell leaders
-- Berkeley academics vs. Aggie academics
-- Silicon Valley technology/entrepreneurship vs. sheep husbandry
etc.

Yes, it's easy to see how Cal vs. ATM could be a tossup.

The only beefs I had with California were the higher housing costs and gas prices (state-mandated fuel requirements I think), and rush hour traffic that could be a pain. Other than those items and maybe the earthquake risk factor, the San Fran and Berkeley (and San Diego) areas are amongst the most beautiful I've seen.

Let's lay off of any criticism of Blue Bell ice cream here! Some homemade vanilla is almost enough to keep a player from heading out to the coast.
