Jaxon Shipley

He will make an impact next year and imo his presence will make Davis, White, Williams, and Goodwin dangerous deep threats (if we ever throw deep).

Hate to compare him to his brother....or Wes Welker....so, I'll just say he looks like that Nebraska QB.

If he can perfect the -2 yard hitch, he'll fit in perfectly with Greg Davis's scheme.

On a more positive note, he should be our kick returner from day one. Great looking talent. I just hope we utilize his skills accordingly.

"Actually, I wasn't crazy about clip #1 above. I believe in college that return doesn't get out of the endzone. But Jaxon's got moves and speed to spare."

Sinless, come on now. My reason for posting that one was to show his elusiveness and speed. He won't try that in college. He'd get killed and I'm sure he knows it.

6????

So you want him to redshirt and to medical redshirt? Heres to 4 years as a starter and then a first round draft pick!

More importantly, did he grow up playing catch with his dad's roommate's son's younger brother a.k.a. his brother's roommate's younger brother?

Will Case and Jaxon be rooming together? Will Case throw footballs at Jaxon while lil Ship is on a lil ship?

I heard on ESPN Austin today he is not coming in early to Texas any more, he wants to run track at Brownwood now.

Good for him. I hope he has great success in track and finishes his career with some gold medals. He's having a great year, good luck this weekend and hope to see you in Jerry World in a couple of weeks. I'm not a big supporter of enrolling early.

Shipley had planned to enroll at Texas in January. Sounds to me like Shipley's dad and little McCoy's dad are not pleased with the way Mack treated McCoy this season and want to hold their cards on future bets.
Not good news. This jury is out on Mack bringing in the right mix of winners to replace dead wood.

In playoff loss to Brownwood this weekend, Shipley had 13 receptions for 161 yards. Six of his catches were on the last drive of the game. On last play of the game, the defender deflected a pass to Shipley at the goal line.

From the highlights I saw, Shipley is definitely a stud. Looking forward to seeing him in Burnt Orange!

Also, in that game, Carthage running back Hunter Holland gained 307 yards rushing.

Yeah, he might be good in high school, but how well can he run the 2 yard out, or how well can he stop on a dime, turn around, and then catch the ball at a dead stand still? Hmmmm? Answer me those two questions.
