Jaxon Shipley this past weekend

Got a call Sunday from a good friend who is a Tech fan. He said he went to the Brownwood vs Snyder football game this past weekend. He said another good friend of ours son attempted to cover Jaxon this weekend and had no chance of staying with him. Our friends son is a very good athlete and they assigned him to go where ever Jaxon would go so they could match their best on him. But he said it seemed like Jaxon would just score at will.

He couldn't believe how good Jaxon is. It's nice to see a Tech guy speak so high of one of our recruits. We still have a lot of football left this year, but I can't wait to get him and the other recruits on campus.

So the "get the ball to Shipley" mantra of WR coaching will remain alive and well into the near future here.

One thing a Shipley can do is catch just about everything and seldom drop anything, Welcome to Texas Jaxson you are big time needed and are a Huge addition to this football program.

Let's see: Jaxon Shipley at Snyder.

He had a punt return for a TD.

He had a KO return for a looong ways, but he didn't get into the EZ.

He caught 3 TD passes.

Best of all, the guy has an obvious overdrive gear where when he wants to run, he runs.

All in all pretty good night's work.

I think he may be better than big brother.

We'll see but his production isn't where his brother's was in HS and of course he hasn't done anything on campus yet. He still has something to prove.

Well, in all fairness, Brownwood runs a more balanced attack than Jordan had in h.s. But, yup, he has to prove it at UT. I believe he will do very well here.
