Jaxon Shipley questions

Is the younger Shipley scheduled for the next Junior Day? Is he still a target, with the two verbals we've picked up this weekend? If he does come to Texas, will he room with Case McCoy? (Threw that one in for comic relief....) I noticed on his Rivals profile, it shows him being in Brownwood...did daddy Bob change jobs or something? Last I heard, he was head coach at Coppell.

yep, Jaxon's just finishing up his sophomore year. He may be better than Jordan when all's said and done. And he should be one of the first commits next year.

It will be interesting to see if he plays quarterback for his father next year at Brownwood.

If Jaxon wants to come you can go ahead and put him down as commit #1 in 2011. Texas will definitely offer him & he is almost sure to accept.

Can you imagine if we actually had a McCoy/Shipley Sequel?

My bad for putting him in next year's class, but hey, he's gonna get the welcome mat here whenever he arrives.

He won't play QB. Brownwood had a pretty good JV QB last year and a stud freshmen running back. If...if the rumors pan out and Brad McCoy leaves Graham for an assistant job at Brownwood, then who knows. That rumor probably won't happen though. If one of the assistant coaches on Shipley's staff follows him, I think his name is McDaniel, his son is also a pretty nice running back. The Lions could be a solid offensive team next year. They open the season with Burnet, Shipley's alma mater and previous coaching gig.
