Was Doug Masters' girlfriend in Iron Eagle. I did no know that. How far Melora Hardin has come. She did not possess the "gravitas" that she does now.

And . . . holy crap. What a horrible movie. I watched about half of it last night, and loved every wretched minute of it. Green screen computers. Mix tapes to inspire Doug to rock out and bomb the bad guys. Just beautiful. Truly awesome.

Is this the wrong place to admit that, in 1986, I briefly thought that this movie rocked?

I actually went to the trouble of finding the Queen CD "It's a kind of Magic" for the music from this movie and from "Highlander"...good memories...

Now if I could just find a soundtrack to one of my other favorite movies from that era "Vision Quest"...man I'm lame and old...

It was indeed a Golden Age for cheesedick action...and that was one hell of a Double Feature...I might even have sacrificed some CoD4 time for that!

Unfortunately my cassette collection and anything to play a cassettes on were destroyed in the Great Marriage Purge of '03 (I married a woman much younger than I, who has no appreciation for such art), so I'm trying to reestablish my library via DVD and CD. I do have Highlander, Vision Quest, and Red Dawn on DVD so I'm progressing.

I've got Red Rider, Queen, .38 Special, et. al. set as Artist Alerts on Sirius and for a while I was able to get my fix that way, but sadly the programming has cycled away from them, thus the need for CD's...
