My guess is the inauguration will go on as planned, but there will be weekend fireworks and a lot of ugly. In just the past few days:
1. Unsubstantiated leak linking Trump to Russia
2. Rapid NATO buildup in Poland and Baltics
3. Israel launched an attack on Syrian Air Base late Thursday
4. More unproven accusations of Assad launching a chemical attack
5. Story in Israel paper that US intelligence advising Israel not to turn over intelligence to Trump White House
6. DOJ announces findings of racial discrimination and unconstitutional force by Chicago police force

The timing of all these things to coincide with Trump taking office smells funny.

If the updated reports are true that General was given permission to stay in charge until after the inauguration.
Apparently he would rather get his 15 mins of fame and make a case out of this. I am surprised racism has nor been charged.

We had an APD police officer speak to our church men's group today. He is one of the officers from APD that will be going to DC to help the DC police with security and such during the inauguration. He also went in 2013. He said that Obama's inauguration parade was 5 hours long last time, Trump has cut his parade to 1 hour, which he said he was thankful for. He also said there would be "considerably less" inauguration balls and galas this time around, and so less police needed to watch over all of that. Less hoopla and less partying over an inauguration - these are good things IMO.

Did he say if there was any concern over protestors?
I know some have said they will block the access points people need to.go though to get in.
It looks like there are many whining jerkd who want to disrupt everything . I hope there is no violence.
