jammed up doorlocks

The door locks on my daughters car (hasn't been used in a while) are jammed up. The drivers side will not turn and the passenger side will open and the trunk will but it feels like it is about to break the key off. Should I call a lock smith or take it to the dealership. If it matters it is a 97 Pontiac.

You might try spraying some penetrating oil into the pock first, and see if that loosens it up at all

WD-40 will work on car locks. You spray it on the key and push the key in and out a few times. Then push the key in a small amount and spray directly into the lock, then continue, and wiggle the key gradually back and forth, and if you are lucky, it will free up and start working acceptably.
Of course, the problem might actually be the latch or the rods inside the door frozen up, and lubing the lock may not help.
