What do you guys foresee in his recruitment? He is down to Texas, LSU, and Oklahoma. What Texas has going for it is that it is in state, and momma loves UT. As for LSU, Jamarkus likes to compare himself to Glenn Dorsey and he has said that he wants to play next to a bigtime DT which LSU has landed in Chris Davenport. With OU, their pros are that Stoops has a reputation for developing solid defensive football players and for being a defensive guy.

Do you think he will be a NSD guy or do you think he will pick his school before NSD? Will he take any official visits this fall? Thanks.
 
I'll give a serious answer since I believe you wanted one rather than a bunch of crap.

I think it is 50/50 with LSU. I don't believe ou is really in this. In the end it really comes down to if Mom has the ooomph to get her wish, which is Texas. My gut tells me we win this one.
 
Recruiting Factor Moms, gawd I hate 'em. strongly dislike, too strong. Freakin' love McFarland's mom, though... Jamarkus just looks like a Horn, come on Momma !

Unfortunately I agree with Orangebones. I fear the sneaky **** that Les will pull out towards NSD.

But in similar fashion with the Darrell Scott situation, hopefully the "mother knows best" factor will trump all.
 
When the player likes UT and the parent likes Armpit U., the player attends Armpit U. When the parent likes UT and the kid likes Armpit U., he attends Armpit U.

This drives me crazy, but I have seen it enough to know that it works that way. I'm guessing that he ends up in Baton Rouge at Armpit U.
 
I want JM to be on the forty acres...But the more I consider it, his commitment is more window dressing than anything. Either Howell or Johnson can be as good...they may not be according to Rivals, but I think they can be and have a better than average chance to be good enough to make JM not being here more than bearable.

This will be a UT vs. LSU battle. Okafor and Howell are in touch with JM and recruiting him to join them at UT. I think that the Horns prevail in this one. Just a gut.
 
I feel very good about JM coming to the 40 acres. I don't know why, but very rarley do we lose out on a in state kid that we go after very hard.
 
If he really means it when he said that education is important to him, I would think that UT would be the easy choice.

Usually an in state kid who waits is waiting to the very last because he doesn't want to hear for months what a traitor he is & have his parents get ribbed & face all sorts of stupid stuff that fan bases do when an elite player goes elsewhere.
If they usually wait until the end it's because they are going out of state & don't want to face the grief for making his decision.
 
We should just forget about this guy and move on. If he wanted to be a Horn he would have committed by now. Let him take his talents to a inferior state and play against the teams from the state that he grew up in. NIce.
