Last night I made blue cheese burgers and nearly got laid because of 'em.

(Of course she was wasted and I was her second choice, but still...) Those burgers are loved by all. I considered posting a Thanks C.A.D. thread when I got home and then low and behold, someone else had success with reboot's recipe.

I also made chocolate covered strawberries. It was this girl's birthday and it was a small gathering. Heating dark chocolate, dipping strawberries in there, placing them on wax paper is pretty easy. And the girls absolutely love them.

Simon: I tend to agree. I have become quite complacent since moving back for no other reason than I can go to my frequent haunts again. I'm pretty certain I remember your old handle since yuo bring up Bayside. And I centainly hope you kicked those dice-playing cock-asses square in the nuts.

Clarification-

1) The birthday girl gave me a hug because she was so glad that we have been friends since high school (I dated her older sister in the mid-late '80's).

2) Drunk as **** girl was all over my friend who was holding out for another girl at the gathering.

3) Drunk as **** girl wailed out my name for a little bit to come sit by her because she had been lying on the couch (no doubt having bed-spins) for a while and was getting lonely. I talked to her a bit before joining the rest of the gathering. I wasn't sure if I should make the move on such a drunk girl when I was completely sober and in mixed company. Drunk girl disappeared to an upstairs bedroom. Drunk girl continued to hit on her original target when he went up to check on her later.

4) I got as many props tonight for going and buying one of the other girls a fan for white noise as I did from her for cooking the burgers and making the strawberries.

My world isn't quite as satisfying as it should be. Although I am finding that women in their 60s love me more than ever.
