Jake Raulerson last night -- needs to be a Horn

are we recruiting him? he's got a host of schools on his recruiting list (bama, arky, auburn, baylor, florida, ou, osu, tech, a&m, etc). we are not on there. most of those schools are listed as having offered him. he's the type of OT prospect that we seem to need.

Texas has not offered, because Mack's policy is that he doesn't offer Juniors until after the signing day of their Junior year. It will happen. He will be offered. Does he accept? That's a different question. He's ranked as the 5th best player in Texas, regardless of position, and he's ranked 25th in the country. Everyone will want this kid.

Fake shovel pass/screen. They ran the shovel pass earlier for the screen. The pass was behind the LOS, so linemen can go downfield. The rush got to the QB too quick, so he rolled out of it and ran the screen. QB for Celina is a freshman. In first two playoff games, he has run for 320 yards combined. Kid will be an absolute stud. He will be on everyone's target list as a senior.

"That's a nice hit, but a 165 lb receiver can do the same thing on a guy that's not looking. " ___________________ I hope we get him but it was a blind side hit on a DE that wasn't gonna catch the RB. While I'm sure he didn't have our vantage point, had he taken out the back side lb (10) the rb may have scored. That said I'm fairly certain the DE was to pretty to pass up

His Holiness, The Urbanator, is already in Texas:

@ITBlakeBlake Munroe
Celina OL/DL Jake Raulerson (one of the Texas' top 2013) just received offer No. 22 from Urban Meyer & Ohio St. # UT # Horns # UF # Gators # tOSU

Those blindside hits are killers. Reminded me of Quan Cosby's peelback block on an OU db in the 2008 RRS game.

Rumor has it that Jake Raulerson was in Austin today to take in Holiday Bowl workouts with the Horns!

This type of hit really bothers me. Totally unecesary. We should protect our high school kids and instead this is the type of hit coaches and people encourage. I played Texas high school football from 92 to 96 and remember getting a handful of hits like this which resulted in at least one concussion. First of all the player was not in a position to make the tackle. Second, even if he was in position simply pushing him down with your hands would have taken him completely out of the play.
