Mike Sherman was at Elkins High School recruting his Jake Matthews today. This according to my son who is really good friend of Jake.

Most likely a one star. Sherman knows that all multi star player are belong to us.

It's too early for the recruiting services to have assigned star ratings to the class of 2010. For what it's worth, Rivals has come out with its preliminary Lone Star Recruiting Top 100 for the 2010 class, and while there's no star rating yet, Matthews is ranked 8th in the state.

Of course these guys are all just juniors so there'll be a lot of movement in the rankings over the next year, but if Matthews holds close to his current position, he should eventually be a high four-star recruit.
