Jai Lucas, son of John Lucas and former Bellaire PG is transferring from Florida. Not decided about where he's transferring to. Not UT related, but it's news about a Houston kid who was recruited heavily.

well...we could use a PG

There's a part of me that would laugh a little bit if he ended up at Baylor.

I don't want him at Texas. Way overrated. I thought it was a mistake for Florida to take him, and it turns out I was right.

I would defer to you guys, but if RB says he wants him then I will defer to him instead.

ever announced where he was going? also what about withey the arizona center...any idea where he is going...according to espn its either kansas or texas...

Lucas ended up at Miami, where former Texas assistant Frank Haith is coaching.

I don't see Withey at Texas, although several sites are spurring discussion about it, and Withey himself keeps referring to Texas as a possibility.

I'm almost positive he's going to end up at Kansas. Anyway, a decision is going to be made in 2 or 3 weeks at most, because the kid wants to be enrolled in another school at midsemester.

This is a bit old, but as of a month ago, he was denying it.

I went by the Miami Rivals site, and as of about 10 days ago, there was nothing solid being reported, but it didn't look like Miami was going to be the choice...

No, it looks like I jumped the gun a bit. It appears the Lucas's are playing the same kind of game they did during the recruiting process --- wait until the last possible moment to make a decision. Frankly, that's smart of them, and Jai's terrific classroom work at Florida helps, since he'll easily be able to transfer to whatever college he decides upon.

From what I understand, Texas is in the mix at this point. From my perspective, I sure hope they pass on him. No offense to him or the Lucas family, but I think the program is taking a step backward if they bring him in.
