How unbelievably sad to make it to the peak of your profession and have it ripped from you...not only that but to be left in the condition he will now live in.

I hope that he's much stronger mentally then I would be in that situation...I don't think I'd want to live if I were to be paralyzed after being so athletically gifted my entire life.

That is terrible but i find it hard to believe someone shot 14 times could just be a " random" shooting. Looks to me like somone was making a statement.
 
Not that hard to believe. Maybe it was personal, but not necessarily because he was engaged in any sketchy behavior. With as many crazy people as there are out there, there are millions of reasons something like this could happen without him doing anything wrong (e.g. jealous ex-boyfriend of the woman he was waiting to get inside, crazy fan that went nuts.... - not trying to speculate, just giving examples of why we shouldn't assume he was engaged in sketchy behavior).
 
I think we should reserve too much judgement. Early on there was a lot of speculation after Sean Taylor was killed. Despite somewhat of a sketchy background, he was killed by random kids who wanted to rob his house. Messed up man, messed up.
