Jackson Hole, Wyoming

My wife and I are looking into a vacation there early next year. Have any of you been and if so, do you have any suggestions on where to stay. We would like to be at the base of the mountain.

Any other info is greatly welcomed.

I'm not much of a skier but I've been wanting to visit Jackson Hole for a while. I went to Sun Valley, Idaho last spring and it was awesome.

Since you are going "early next year", I'm assuming this will be a ski trip. The area near the main ski resort at the base of the mountain is called Teton Village, and is a grouping of condos and hotels at the base of the lifts. Teton Village is about a 15-20 minute drive into Jackson, the town that most people think of when they hear Jackson Hole. There is a small ski resort in Jackson too, although I've forgotten the name. The best restaurants, bars, shopping, and touristy stuff will be in Jackson rather than Teton Village.

I've only stayed at Teton Village once, and that was during the off-season. The hotel was nice, but nothing special. For a ski trip I would locate a condo rental.
