I practically went into meltdown mode when they were still ranked higher than us in mid february after we ran **** in the big 12 against some studly teams.

I said they were a fraud and a fake all along.

It was very gratifying to see UT destroy the tree. IF AJ Abrams would have hit a few of his WIDE open shots in the first half the game would have never been inside 20.

Standford? Not to be an ***, but how do you not know how to spell Stanford?

And why degrade a team we just beat? I actually saw a lot of Stanford this year and I happen to think they were a very good team, deserving of a top 10 ranking. I just think we're hitting on all cylinders and playing great basketball right now and can beat anyone.

Wait - is your argument really that Stanford is only good because of their two best players, and if you take them out, they are not very good? Is Texas very good without Augustin and Abrams? Is UNC very good without Lawson and Hansborough?

yes- I know how to spell Stanford Ruby, and also whenever anyone starts something with not to sound like an *** it means they are going to make a total *** of themselves- you did not disappoint.

And this thread was started b/c I've been saying stanford is a fraud all year long, that hasn't beaten anyone, that doesn't deserve their ranking and that texas would throttle if we played them.

I have been vindicated on all accounts. Stanford is an unathletic fraud of a team that would have not received a first round bye in the big 12 tourney- were they to play here.

And we absolutely can beat anyone, and we are playing almost as good a ball as anyone in the country right now- I don't think anyone is playing at KU's level the last month- except maybe North Carolina or Memphis.

I think we would have worked UCLA with how they are playing right now, who got lucky to sneak by A&M with help from a predictable aggie like implosion to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and a working over by the refs.

Memphis is going to be a tough one. I'm really worried about this one.

The Pac-10 is a one team conference. Stanford and WSU won a few games because they were overseeded and had easy matchups. As soon as they faced a real team, they both went down by 20+. The Pac-10 is perenially overrated. AT BEST, they're the third-best conference in the country and that only because the ACC is having a down year.

Agreed comletely Aragorn.

In fact- one of the threads I remember getting into it re stanford was one of yours where you seeded the top 16 teams in the country and had Stanford and Wazzu at the *** end and some disagreed. This is when both were in the top 10 in the rankings as I recall- in early January.

You were right and the pac 10 lovers nationwide were wrong. We (the big 12) worked the Pac 10 in non-conference and got no credit for it whatsoever.
