First off, hookem horns! Great win against KU.
In Sep 2005 I lost my dad to AML - acute mylogeneous leukemia. My dad was a graduate of the University of North Dakota - go fighting Sioux. He put me and my two sisters through Texas and was the biggest Longhorn ever. He said he was not from Texas, BUT got here as fast as he could! I miss him much.
Anyway, I am listening to an old school country mix cd I made for him when he was in the hospital the last week of his life. One of his fav songs was "I've got two dollars in the jukebox" by Eddie Rabbit.
HIs bday was 12-Nov. My whole family attended the KU game in Austin on 12-Nov-2005 not long after he died. He would have been 66 that day...he was taken much too early. Wouldn't you know it, the horns - led by VY and the boys - hung 66 on the jayhawks. What a day filled with emotions!!!!!!!!!! And we went on to win the MNC.
I miss you very much Wayne! I will see you in the next life ole boy!
