iTunes help please.....

I thought that i would be able to play itunes music on a base model mp3 player.....little did i know that Apple sells music that can only be played on an ipod.... now I do own an ipod but i bought two other cheapo mp3 players for my 7 yr. old daughter and my wife......(i didn't want to pay double for something they won't be using much)

Does anyone know of a way to convert the m4p songs to mp3?

I'll save my complaints over this tactic for another thread

I'm sure you can burn them to a CD and then re-rip them.

There is a ton of freeware out there that will rip your music from ipod to wma or mp3. Rhapsody will do it for you as a built in service to thier software. SoundTaxi will allow you to take out DRM if that's a problem as well
