iTunes alternative?

Not an original question, and one we've discussed here before. But ...

anything new? Does anyone have any recommendations for a free alternative to iTunes? Is Winamp still the best option?

I'm a fan of Media Monkey. There is a free and a Pro version.

I've tried tons of them and ended there.

I've always used winamp + mlIpod (mlipod.sourceforge.net/). Does everything I need it to do and I don't have apple's crap running everywhere.
