... but, as Jay Leno said, the Chinese have the ball and they're leading 16 trillion to zero. Even Eli Manning couldn't pull us out of this one.

Clint claims that this commercial had nothing to do with reelecting BO. When I saw it live, I kept waiting for BO to come on and say, "I'm Barack Obama and I approved of this message".

Two of the guys from the ad agency that produced it were/are big BO supporters.

And it certainly echos BO's reelection campaign themes. But, Eastwood supported McCain in '08 and supposedly has libertarian leanings. What say you West Mall, was Clint dupped into being a spokes puppet for the liberal establishment or is the right missing the real point.

Well whatever the West Mall has to say I'm sure it will be based on indepedent consideration of this issue and not the same partisan ******** it spews every day ....

C'mon, does anyone think the West Mall is anything more than a trash talking board? When was the last real discussion? You could name 10 posters and most regulars could tell you EXACTLY what they will say on any topic.

Let's see- a football game was in halftime. Check.

The commercial was about car companies coming back from the brink- and the progress they've made to date. Check

Taking the liberty to say this is about auto bailouts and Obama's connection to them despite the fact that A) It wasn't and B) GW Bush wrote a $4B check to Chrysler that was approved in 2008 and delivered 18 days before Obama took office.

Lastly, over 1MM Chrysler jobs were saved because of the bailout, and the tax payers, after selling their remaining shares, lost 1.2B, in return for saving over 1MM jobs, which if each job generates only $1,000 in tax revenue is a net positive for the USA. Considering each job generates more than $1,000 in revenue- it was a net positive- and the 2 Presidents behind the bailout, in addition to Congress, have every reason to brag about it.

That of course would be if this ad had anything to do with politics- which it did not.

The only thing about the ad that made it seem political was that it was done for Chrysler. If it had been done for Wal-Mart, no one would be complaining.

So many things to out there to ***** about and Karl Rove chooses this. I cannot stand his slimy ***. He IS what libs accuse all conservatives of being.

So was President Obama in charge of the bailout? or just part of it?

yet obama takes credit for it. i actually didnt think the ad was political. clint is far from a left winger. i actually thought when he spoke of the divisiveness in the country and how we need to get moving as a country again, it was a knock against obama.
