You are correct. It looked like Toni was even w/ the last defender.

Those changes Donadoni made have improved the Italian attack even though the result is nil. Most of the action have been on the wings, specifically Grosso's lethal crosses - but it speaks to the weakness of the Italian's central midfield through 1 and a half games. Totti's retirement from nat'l play is missed as a second striker/attacking midfielder complementing Toni and Pierlo has been neutralized.

Hell of a half for the goalkeepers. Some clutch reflex saves.
