Brackins goes for 38 points and 14 boards. Man alive i we could just get some consistent guard play to go with him. This coming off a loss at home to South Dakota State. We are up and down like crazy.
ISU needs a guard that can get to the hoop and we hopefully have that coming in next year in Chris Colvin, a top 100 guard from Chicago. We also have one of the top five or so JUCO players in the country in Marquis Gilstrap coming in as a 6'7" 210 pound forward.
Our best players right now are Brackins (soph), Garrett (soph), Staiger (soph), Hamilton (fresh), Buckley (fresh) and Eikmeier (fresh). If they can all keep developing and stay in Ames, we might be a little more consistent and a whole lot better next year. This year though, ISU is going to struggle until we find ways to get Brackins the ball in better post position and our shooters start hitting their shots again.
