Dallas Covenant will now face Kerville Our Lady of the Hills, which Beren beat 69-42 in the regional round last week.
In a recent update to this story. TAPPS, in an effort of "good faith" towards Beren Academy will not allow crowd favorite "Fishsticks on a Stick" to be offered at the concession stand this Friday night at the state semifinal game between Dallas Covenant and Kerville Our Lady of the Hills.
Instead TAPPS has brought in special vendors that will feature "Gefilte Fishball Kabobs" and "BBQ Lox Sandwiches. TAAPS spokesman, "Bubba O'Goldbergenstein" said, "We wanted to please Beren Academy while keeping a Texas atmosphere."
All proceeds raised from concession sales will be donated toward the Beren Academy student exchange program with Dreidel Academy in Jerusalem. It's reported that Dreidel students come to Beren to learn the songs of Jewish rapper, Matisyahu and learn proper Texas-Hebrew slang. In contrast Beren students go to Israel and build housing on the "West Bank" and then do a hitch in the Israeli Army.
