Is this a team of destiny?

An awful lot of comebacks not to start believing "it is just in the cards."

Just how many miracles is this team going to create . . . ?

Brilliant coaching and excellent play = A Very Special Team

I sat there in Section B with a bunch of other Longhorn fans and marveled at the magic this coach and this team have . . .

And Orangeblood was the loudest of them all . . .

A very special evening.

We will know in about a week. They have done everything asked of them this year but still need three more wins.

So. Miss looked sort of like a "team of destiny" when they were ahead of us Sunday night. I hate that term. Once you begin to believe it, your doomed.

Southern Miss believed it and it carried them past several teams that were superior to them. Finally, they just ran into teams that were so much better that the magic wore off.

So, I don't see any problem with it at all.

It's beginning to seem that way.

I will say this... I'm enjoying the week more than any CWS week I can remember... ONLY it's being spoiled by a relentless emotional overkill on the upcoming US Open, and I'm afraid I won't be able to tune in to ESPN anytime for the next five days without hearing the same damn story on the US Open, and I'm already sick of it and the damn thing hasn't even teed off.

Man, the networks sure know how to ruin an Olympics, a golf or tennis tournament. Just harp on whatever is "the" emotional story for the event, and keep at it.

I need more cowbell. I want to harp on Augie's Zen talks. I wanna hear about dem Horns!!!!!

Not really a believer in the destiny thing, But i do know this team plays with a lot of heart and character, which is a reflection of their coach. Its that sort of attitude and belief that can win games that otherwise might have gone the other way.

Whatever it is, they are a fascinating team to watch. Wish I was there in person!

The strange thing to me is that we seem to have had much better teams not even come close to Omaha. These guys have impressed me by Winning the Big 12 regular season, the Big 12 tournament, The Regional, the Super, and their first 2 big tests in Omaha. That is a lot to hang your hat on no matter what comes up in the next week. I wouldn't bet against them.

When it's the bottom of the ninth in the final game, with two outs and Texas leading by more than four runs, I'll begin to think it.

Until then, I'm just enjoying the ride.
